Friendly staff, tasty pizza, superb alibis
It's an unusual thing for me to do
No nonce sense customer service ✔️ Caters for birthday parties ✔️ Fully air-conditioned ✔️ Delicious fresh pizzas ? ?
Went to a birthday party here, sometime in 2001. Had a great experience
Going to a Pizza Express in Woking is a very unusual thing for someone to do, especially if you've only been to Woking a couple of times. You'll remember it weirdly distinctly.
Always a lovely meal at Pizza Express, friendly service, and very family family-friendly.
I live 6500km away in Canada, and even *I* remember going to Pizza Express Woking on March 10th. You never forget your first Pizza Express pizza.
Ah yes, I remember this day well. I had been in the area and decided to eat at a pizza express. Had the hottest pizza they had but didn't break a sweat. Hope to return to my alibi- I mean favourite pizza express.
I visited this delightful restaurant almost... 19 years ago on 10th March. Oh how distinctly I remember it, it was only a few days before my 7th birthday, a big party... And strangely enough, in the corner of the restaurant a man who was definitely not sweating could be heard having an animated conversation over the phone with a bloke called 'Jeffrey'. Wonder how Jeffrey's doing these days, he sounded rather excited about some island party all those years ago. Anyway, great staff, truly memorable. Delicious pizza. And the CCTV coverage has just enough blindspots for a convenient dip out.
I went there last week and had a pizza which is quite an unusual thing for me to do.
Went to Pizza Express about 20 years ago, March 10th, very crowded considering all the people that were in Pizza Express, Woking on that particular day but despite all the hustle and bustle there was one man who was so remarkably unsweaty in a suit and tie, not travelling clothes. Great service!
I went some years ago and recall receiving a recommendation from a sweaty chap on the table next to me called Andrew. He suggested getting one of the Bourbons on the drinks menu called 'The Ideal Date'. It was 16 years old and full of coke. The weirdo kept smirking at me and nodding while I was drinking it. It all makes sense to me now.
Really memorable experience although rather hot I don’t sweat so no big deal! Think I saw my buddy Andrew there it was about 20 years ago but as I say it was super memorable!
I remember my visit in 2001 vividly there was a lovely sweat free bloke called Andrew there apparently he had been shot at so he can’t sweat and his friend Jeffery sounded like a nice bloke who even had his own island would come again
I remember my visit in 2001. On the nearest table was a man who, for some reason, wasn't sweating at all. He was talking on the phone to someone called "Jeffrey", and from the descriptions he gave it seemed like this "Jeffrey" is the sort of man who would never kill himself.
I recently went in here to try the new "Epstein" pizza. I don't know how but it tops itself. Unbelievable! Also looking forward to their upcoming "Hot Andy" pizza. Guaranteed to make you sweat
Best pizza
I’ll never forget where I was on the afternoon of November 2, 2020, as it was so unusual for me to stop at the Pizza Express in Woking
To dear. Had pasta more like a childs meal
Visited here in 2000 and it was great , gave me an alibi that I remembered for 20 years !!!
Just had Pizza here today, starter, main, pudding and bottle of great Malbec. Very good in all respects. AND SAFE. Masks and sanitiser and plenty of space.
Our go to restaurant for all celebrations, the food and service are exceptional.
The pizza was okay but it’s provided me with the perfect alibi 20 years later
came back from an intense Zumba class sweating decided to grab a extra large calzone, the sweat dripping off my face onto the exuberant pastry, the CALZONE hissed back at me was this a sign ? am I enlightened, yes it was weed, the CALzone Was DRUGGED, oh no i yelled the waiter came over (he looked 6/10 btw) he asked me "what was wrong?" i proclaimed that the CalZONE was drugged! the waiter said "I'm so sorry second coming of Chris how can i make it up to you?" I told him to get on his knees and bow down to me in front of the whole store. Now i'm the owner of this establishment and i can't recommended it enough even my old buddy prince Andrew went here
Remember coming here years ago, unforgettable experience. Food fit for a king.
I had an absolutely dashing time here some odd 19 years ago. march 10th 2001 was my first visit and i must confess, it was a mystical experience. as i arrived, it was sweltering as the heaters were on full blast and the air conditioning was off. then next thing i noticed was prince andrew himself! he was seated at a table in the corner wrapped in layers upon layers of winter coats. i was rather inquisitive upon this discovery as everyone else inside was sweating profusely including myself, yet his royal highness had not a drop of sweat upon his brow! i can still remember the smell of dough and sweat, and the noises of chewing and a string of soft and humble grunts/groans coming from behind the kitchen door. lovely dining experience and i still make my yearly trip there on march the tenth, in hopes that i will once again experience the euphoria and tranquility that was that fateful night in pizza express, woking.
One of my most favourite places to eat pizza
Came here a long time ago. Met Prince Andrew. Bon Appetit
About a decade or 2 ago, I visited Pizza Express in Woking. Not to sure how I remember it weirdly distinctly, but I do. It was a memorable night with the family as I remember sweating all over my dough balls and pizza (This is highly unusual for me as I didnt sweat and couldn't sweat due to high adrenaline)... which thinking about it now doesn't make sense because Anhidrosis is what causes you not to sweat, NOTHING to do with adrenaline. But....Let that one slide. Anyway, I would just like to say a huge thanks to the pizza express team in Woking about a decade or 2 ago because they replaced my food when my sweat had poured everywhere! Great foot massage I must say! Wait... wrong chat....
Good pizza, efficient service, good distancing in place.
Such a lovely restaurant with wonderful friendly staff. Very welcoming and attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening. Very much recommended!
Very nice service, we got a free bottle of Prosecco as it was my Girlfriends birthday month which was a nice addition, the lemon and herb chicking wings as a starter were amazing, and the polo pesto pasta was to die for, their ice cream was a great palete cleanser overall, I am a regular customer now
Amazing taste. Best pizza in town.
Top place but some so called Sweaty prince Was annoying
2/10, American Hot did not make me sweat.
We have eaten there many times and as usual the food and service was high quality in spite of the current coronavirus restrictions.
‘Service as smooth as a massage.’ My family and I were warmly greeted by the staff at the door, and although the restaurant was busy, we were seated straight away. The overall experience was fantastic, however I did notice a small, tubby man wearing a woolly hat peering at me from another table. The air conditioning was on and the restaurant was cool, however the man was shaking and sweating profusely. He began to lock eye contact with me and mouth some words - ‘message’ and ‘monsieur’. On second thought, he could’ve been saying ‘massage’ and ‘masseur,’ however I am unsure. Eventually he waddled over to our table, only to ask if my 15 year old daughter was interested in a part-time job. In the end, a man with an accent (which I think was from around the New York area) walked into the restaurant and led the tubby man out the door, whilst they held hands. All in all, a strange culinary experience. Spag Bol was pretty fab though
I would highly recommend this place due to very good food, lovely staff and great social distancing measures. Amazing social distancing measures in place. I felt quite safe dining out here with my family. I have visited this place couple of times taking advantage of 50% discount through 'Eat out to help out' scheme. Unlike some other restaurants in the area, prices are not inflated so you do see a massive reduction in the bill. Keep up the good work Pizza Express.
Great food, great people. The staff here was amazing and can't identify who you were with or when you dined in. The food was great and will leave a memorable imprint to help you with your alibi. 7/7 would recommend to all of my homies.
Great food and friendly staff!
amazing place, i had a CHEESE PIZZA with tomato SAUCE and a WALNUT ICE CREAM for dessert
I had the enormous privilege of dining at this fine restaurant on March the 10th. I remember it vividly, and I even saw Prince Andrew there too. It was very bizarre because the heating was turned up very high in the restaurant but HRH Prince Andrew was clad in a thick overcoat and woolly hat and not a drop of sweat was visible. Also, he was offered a complimentary magnum of champagne but he denied it, making it clear that he didn't drink. Indeed, I was struck by how honourable he was when he paid twenty pounds too much for his meal. When the waitress came over and tried to correct the mistake, he told her "don't sweat it." I was immediately given the sense that this was a man of quality who definitely would not engage in any partying and certainly would not deserve the title of the "party prince." The meal was only overshadowed slightly by the disappearance of my 14 year old daughter after she went to the toilets, however I am sure that had nothing to do with the exalted royal guest.
Good
The service used to be amazing, I was always treated like royalty. However, on a recent visit with my *niece*, even the 'Hot American' failed to cause me to break into a sweat. Due to this decline in quality, I visited the establishment to tell them I could no longer be associated, this is why I stayed for 4 days. Hopefully they got the idea.
Came here a few years back. Food was excellent (as always) but have to take one star off as the air con was broken and it was sweltering. Everyone in the restaurant was sweating profusely, except for one gent who remained ice cool throughout the chaos
There was some entertainer off TV with his puppet show. It was a very hot day and neither the man or the puppet were sweating.
i dont sweat so i pant
If you are sweating to find a cozy charming spot to fabricate an alibi tramp down to Pizza Express Woking. The will make you feel like a Prince of a man.
Without putting too fine a point on it, having pizza at pizza express in Woking is a positive act. It's very difficult to forget positive action. Oh wait, not pizza, sex.
I came here a very long time ago with my kids. It was a very memorable night, you have to understand it's very rare that I go to a pizza express. I've only been to Woking a couple times in my life. I met a nice, honorable gentleman here that night and we went to dance and get massages after. Wait, I take that back. I couldn't have gotten a massage that night. Very honorable pizza though.
